A Woman’s World: Autumn is Beautiful…

A Woman's World: Autumn is Beautiful

Autumn is beautiful. In a woman’s world beauty is everywhere. Not only in the magnificent colours of autumn. Beauty is there, beneath the grey sky, in the raindrops tapping on your umbrella, in the chilly wind that tousles your hair. Beauty is in you and it is you who make autumn beautiful. Because yes, you are a woman and this is your world of happiness.

Autumn is beautiful…

It’s getting colder. All you need is a hot cuppa and the cosiness of your home. Take a book or a magazine, or a catalogue (I love pretty catalogues) and have a break. A nice quiet break while you’re listening to the severe wind outside (your hair is safe now).

Afternoons are getting gloomy. Again, a cup of tea and you can enjoy your time at home. Isn’t it the perfect time to be with your family? Isn’t it beautiful to be together?

Hot tea, hot chocolate, steamy dishes, and the scent of cinnamon and pumpkin… I love them – the warming scents of autumn, the warming scents of home…

It seems that the sun doesn’t want to show up for days. Well, maybe it’s time for vitamin D supplements (the Vitamin D3 tablets by Bulk Powders, for example), especially if you’re in the UK. But autumn is still beautiful. Because you are a woman, you have thousands of reasons to feel great, and the lack of sunshine can’t upset you at all.

And don’t forget, autumn means fashion! Most of us love all things fashion, right? Comfy cardigans, stylish trench coats, cute ankle boots (my favourite part, actually), pretty scarves and warm shawls… Do you like Dorothy Perkins? Me, too. Their autumn collection is full of beauties and of course, all at a good price. Autumn is beautiful. This time, I say it literally.

Oh, your makeup looks fab! No more heat, your face is no longer melting off. Autumn is definitely beautiful.

It’s raining heavily. You’re staying at home wondering how you could possibly go outside and get all the shopping done (just for the record, you are like me, i.e. a non-driver). Online shopping rocks, don’t you agree? Now, unroll your Yoga mat and spend a few minutes connecting with yourself. Or do that HIIT workout. Still, don’t forget you have less than an hour before being off to pick up your kid/kids from school. 🙂

You are heading back home. Of course, there is no hint of sunshine, but the permanent presence of greyness and cold. Look at your child and give them a big smile. You are going to the warmest place in the entire universe – your home!

Did I say cinnamon a few lines earlier? Yes, I totally love cinnamon! It’s autumn and the air is filled with the sweet fragrance of cinnamon, of magic. That’s right, cinnamon suggests that wonderful things are about to happen. Cinnamon is also the scent of Christmas. And Christmastime is coming soon.

Isn’t autumn beautiful? Isn’t is magical because of Christmas being so close, because of the scents, because of the colours? Autumn is gorgeous because of the warmth of your hearth, because of you and the love you feel for your family.

Isn’t autumn beautiful because you have decided it to be?

I am normally a summer girl, but this autumn something has changed in me and I am totally embracing it. I don’t know if its because we’ve had such lovely sunny days. But I love my boots and clothes and coming home to a hot chocolate. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove x

There is so much to love about autumn! I love cosying up with a nice mug of hot chocolate. Also love digging out all my hats and scarves for bracing autumnal walks. And pumpkin carving, fireworks, bonfires. And it’s been so lovely and sunny this year – I can definitely get on board with that! Thanks so much for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove

I have a love/hate relationship with autumn. Yes the trees look pretty and I like the cosy evenings but miss my flip flops and know it’s only the start of another cold, long winter! #effitfriday
